Murray Looks Forward To Intensity Of The League Season

Boston United boss Adam Murray says while pre-season has been successful he and the squad are ready for the competitive matches to start.

The Vanarama National League North side begin their big kick-off away from home, with a their manager pleased with how pre-season has gone, writes Tom Feaheny.

Murray told the club's website while the friendly matches have been beneficial for the side, they are now in a position where they need to be playing for something.

"We have got to that point where we need competitive action, when there are three points on the line everything goes up the intensity, the tempo.

"We are ready for it all to begin now, our focus is fully on those opening games for us all now."

They play Southport away from home on Saturday and then have two home games in a row, Murray is pleased with where the group are ahead of these three matches in the first week.

"The preparation side of it has been planned out, we've got a busy few months, every player is where they need to be now in terms of fitness I just want it to get started."
