Morrell Praises Strong Tamworth Fightback

The Lambs gained a 3-1 victory against Stockport County after coming back from a goal down.

Tamworth boss Andy Morrell says his side have shown they have the right mentality after gaining another three points, writes Tom Feaheny.

Speaking to the club's website, Morrell spoke about why the result was so important. Watch Match Highlights Here.

"It is so important that you get a reaction and we did just that, we conceded so early but we were able to fight back and that shows a good mentality from the match.

This victory also saw Reece Styche grabbing two goals and that was another positive for the Tamworth boss

"He is key for us to go down the middle, five goals in August from those seven games, he's learning and taking things on, long may it continue."

They now have started a decent run at home, with their only loss being on the opening day when they conceded in the 97th minute, Morrell knows how The Lamb Ground is to the club.

"Since the 3G came in, we know we can make it a fortress, we have three home wins and that shows what we are all about."

They are next away from home for two games, with Morrell saying they know they will have to play differently.

"There is a lot of distance involved, we are clear in our minds what we need to do away from home, we have to be a little bit more defensively minded."
