Morley Commits to Lambs

The signing of Steph Morley earlier this week meant that Tamworth boss Andy Morrell now has a first-team squad of fourteen players in place heading into the first pre-season session tomorrow morning.

With more new arrivals likely before the first pre-season fixture on July 8th, the squad will be supplemented by a number of triallists, along with four members of last season`s highly-successful under-21 squad for the time being.

After missing the early part of the season due to injury, Morley cemented his place at left-back, and was a consistent attacking threat with his excellent delivery from wide areas, both in open play and from dead ball situations.

Morley became a Lamb this time last season, joining from National League North rivals Brackley Town.

He has also represented the likes of Leamington and Hinckley United locally.

Morrell said: "Steph is a great lad, and had a really good end to the season. I still believe he can get better, as his injury last pre-season put him a little behind. He created a lot of goals for us in the final few weeks of last season, so hopefully he can produce that again".
