Massive Boost For Boro As Nicholson Returns On Loan

Nuneaton Town have received a massive eve-of-season boost with the news that the talented Jordan Nicholson has returned to the club on loan from SkyBet League One side Peterborough United, initially until the start of January.

The performances of the diminutive 23-year-old lit up Boro last term and helped us enjoy a positive second half of the campaign.

He became a firm favourite both on and off-the-field and we are delighted to see him back at the LDJ Solicitors Stadium at what is an exciting time for the club.

“This is an early Christmas present,” beamed a delighted Tommy Wright. “I’ve been speaking to him throughout the summer because I desperately wanted him to come back here, so it’s great that things have been able to come together to get him back.

“He’s knows the club and can’t wait to join up with us again. He’ll add to the quality that we’ve already got here and give me another selection headache, but these are the kind of headaches that I want!

“The lads are looking forward to having him part of the group and I am sure that he will be able to hit the ground running for us.”

Nicholson will be part of the squad that travels to Harrogate Town for the season opener tomorrow.

“It’s going to be a good gauge for us,” added Wright. “Harrogate went full-time during the summer and like us, they have made some good quality signings during pre-season.

“I am delighted with the group that I now have at my disposal; I’ve got full belief in them and we’ll head to Harrogate full of confidence and determined to get off to a winning start”.
