Magpies Man Marks Returns To Essex With The Urchins

Nation League defenders may well sleep a little easier this summer.

Sean Marks has decided to call time on his stay in the division and will play Bostik League football next season instead.

The feared forward has left Maidenhead United to return to Essex.

The former Braintree Town man has put pen to paper at AFC Hornchurch this afternoon after agreeing a deal.

He tweeted today after the announcement was made.

“Please to have signed with AFC Hornchurch for the upcoming season,” he wrote. “Great club already on a high & hopefully can help keep it going.”

Marks is the second big name to leave York Road this summer.

He follows Sam Barrett out of the club to Essex, with the midfielder moving to League One club Southend.
