Magpies Are Easy Prey For Hawks To The Delight Of Bradbury

When Lee Bradbury says Havant & Waterlooville’s win over Maidenhead was a big result, he wasn’t actually talking about the scoreline.

Of course he could have been, the 7-0 victory saw the Hawks take out many weeks of frustration on their unsuspecting visitors.

The Magpies may have had a defender in goals following Carl Pentney’s first half red card but even so this was a result to lift spirit.

Havant have not been themselves for some time and after a barren run which stretched back to September 5 they finally had something to cheer.

Bradbury said: “Make no mistake this was a big result for us.

“It has been a tough few weeks but we knew if we kept believing in ourselves we would turn the corner.

“We haven’t yet, but this is a step in the right direction for sure.

“Our attitude was tremendous. They really showed that they cared and put in a display that was really encouraging.

“We kept play and kept playing. We were clinical.”
