MacFarlane Not Phased After Shock Defeat To Red Rebels

Neil MacFarlane said his team will have to respond after his side fell to a shock result to FC United of Manchester.

Harriers fell to the new manager curse as Neil Reynolds claimed all three points on his first game in charge of the Red Rebels.

An early Ed Williams goal looked to set the home side on their way but a double from Jack Banister edged it for Reynolds' men.

Speaking to the club's YouTube channel after the game, MacFarlane said although he was unhappy with his side's showing, they will bounce back.

"It’s a really disappointing result in a game we really have to win but I don’t think we did enough through the 90 minutes to win the game.

"We had a perfect start but we didn't carry it on today. It's not the quality we've had so far this season, but we will respond.

"I have no complaints about my group, they're incredible in terms of giving me everything and that's all you can ask but there's days when it doesn't happen.

"We just didn't play well enough today but we win together and we lose together and we will respond next week against Guiseley."
