Macc Attack Will Do Some Damage On All Cylinders

Assistant manager Steve Watson believes Macclesfield Town will bang in the goals once their front line clicks.

The Silkmen are up to fourth after an impressive 2-0 victory over Aldershot Town - watch match highlights here.

Ryan Lloyd struck inside the first minute to put the home side ahead before Elliott Durrell added another in the second half.

It was Macclesfield's fourth win in their last five games and there's more to come from their side says Watson.

"The lads worked their socks off," he said. "We won a lot of battles last week and we knew we'd have to do that again against a very good Aldershot side.

"We couldn't have wished for a better start. They had a 20 minute spell after that where we couldn't get out but I thought second half was our most complete performance of the season.

"Our record at home needs to be better. When you haven't won many here you get scares. We minimised them to shots from outside of the box and half chances. We had a lot more chances they did and when the finishing comes together we'll give someone a real hiding."
