Maamria: Two Draws Something To Build On

Nuneaton Town boss Dino Maamria believes their back-to-back draws can lead to them building momentum and victories.

The Boro earned a valuable point at Chorley a fortnight ago in a 2-2 thriller before earning another draw in a 1-1 stalemate at home last Saturday with Curzon Ashton, writes Tom Feaheny.

It's small steps for Maamria's side that he hopes are crucial ones.

“I thought we were good. We keep improving. As a defensive unit I thought we were very solid, very organised, Jon Ashton came in and did a very good job in terms of communicating with the back four,” he told the club's website.

“I thought we were solid, the only team that looked like winning the game was us.”

“We need to be more clinical in the final third, we are creating very good chances and today we should have scored two or three.”
