Lee Injury Boost For Orient Following Charlie's Fylde Scare

It’s great news for Charlie Lee and Leyton Orient after it was confirmed the midfielder won’t miss a huge chunk of the season.

Fans were fearful after he limped off against AFC Fylde at the weekend. Watch match highlights here.

There were concerns at Orient after Lee’s injury last season kept him sidelined for a long period with some unsure if it was a recurrence of the same problem.

But the O’s have announced that he suffered a grade one MCL injury on the opposite leg to the one he damaged last season.

The results weren’t as bad as first feared and he will only miss around a fortnight of the National League season.

His little lay off couldn’t have actually come at a better time.

Because of their early FA Cup exit, Orient are without a game until November 17, when they take on Bromley at Brisbane Road.
