Ladapo Remains With Gate

Vanarama National League South club Margate have confirmed that....

...striker Freddie Ladapo remains with them, despite lots of interest in him throughout the January transfer window.

Ladapo, who has scored 28 times for the Blues since joining in January 2015, was being tracked by several League clubs as the deadline approached.

Margate did accept a bid which met their valuation yesterday from an unnamed National League side, however, Ladapo’s desire to get back into the Football League saw him commit his immediate future to the Blues.

Margate boss Nikki Bull was naturally very pleased to keep hold of his number nine: “We are delighted that Freddie has decided to stay with us. Freddie’s desire to get back into the Football League meant he rejected the chance to join the National League side.

“Freddie’s attitude has been exemplary and if he keeps working hard he will realise his dreams but for now he just needs to keep working hard at MFC and see where he can help us get to.”
