Johnson's Bromley Stay Is Over As Smith Has A Clear Out

Roger Johnson, the former Birmingham City defender, has today left Bromley.

The club have confirmed the 36-year-old won’t be playing for the National League club next season.

Frankie Sutherland and Aiden Enver have also both departed Hayes Lane.

It’s been a busy May so far for manager Neil Smith as he prepares his side for what fans hope will be a promotion push next season.

Ebbsfleet United striker Michael Cheek will wear a Bromley shirt next season after the Ravens swooped.

Maidenhead United’s Adrian Clifton has also agreed to play for the Kent club in 2019-20.

A club announcement read: “All three players leave with the deepest of thanks from everybody connected with the club, along with our well wishes for the future.

“Manager Neil Smith remains in talks with a number of potential new signings, and we expect further news in the coming weeks.”
