Johnson To Harness Gulls' Power As He Looks To Improve

Torquay United boss Gary Johnson will be looking for a response tonight after his side crashed out of the FA Cup three days ago.

The Gulls go into their game tonight with St Albans City knowing a win could put them in fourth place in the league.

But boss Johnson said he will need to see much more from his side if they're to acheive their aims this season.

“We’re trying very hard to get the club going again and I’ve got to find the other players’ ability so that they can at least contribute to the game.

“We need to do more, and the boys need to show a lot more. I think they’ve got it, but they certainly didn’t show it today. Only one or two people looked like they had the ability to go and win the game.

“I really feel disappointed, but I’ll be back on Monday and hopefully I’ll try and get the best out of the boys. We’ve got to try and get a side that can beat the top sides.

“We’ve got to have people that are above the other teams that are up there.”
