Holohan Ready For Pools Fight After Penning New Deal

The season might have only just finished but one Hartlepool United player can't wait for it to start once again.

Gavan Holohan has signed a fresh deal with the Pools as Craig Hignett begins a rebuild ahead of what he hopes will be a big season.

The midfielder joined the club in February and admits it wasn't easy to make his mark midway through the season.

But he's hoping for a clean slate starting from August.

“I was keen to get things sorted here because I got a real taste for it last season, albeit I was only here a short period I got a taste for the Club and really wanted to stay," he told the club's website.

“I knew I had the ability to come and do well so it was just about biding my time and waiting for an opportunity and luckily I did pretty well so I was pleased with that and now I want to kick-on for next season.

“My target is to break in to the team, keep my place in there and make as much of an impact as I can to help this club have a successful season.”
