Hodges Hopeful On White Tigers' Quick Powers Of Recovery

Lee Hodges wants an instant response from his players after being on the end of an opening day hiding.

The White Tigers were playing their first match at Torquay United - and the long trip may have been worth it for Billericay, but it certainly wasn’t for the tennants and their fans.

The Blues were easy 4-0 winners and but for a great display from the Truro goalkeeper it could have been even more.

But on Tuesday night they can put that right with a win against Weston-super-Mare.

Hodges told the club’s website: "It was a disappointing day. We started slowly and never really got going.

"They are a good team and must be one of the favourites to win the league, but three of their four goals were of our own doing.

“I thought that Jojo [Woollacott] was fantastic in goal and had it not been for him it could have been an even bigger margin of defeat.

“We have a chance to bounce back straight away on Tuesday evening when we travel to Weston-super-Mare.

“I will be looking for the right response from the players.”
