Highly-Rated Boro Striker Loaned To Wrexham

By Steve Whitney

Wrexham have signed highly-rated young striker George Miller from SkyBet Championship side Middlesbrough on loan until January 6th.

Wrexham boss Dean Keates has Alex Reid return to Fleetwood Town at the end of his short-term loan, but has managed to land an up and coming striker in George Miller.

The 19-year-old will be looking to be eligible for this weekend’s visit to Macclesfield Town if international clearance is received in time.

A native of Bolton, Miller came through the ranks with Bury and was a stand-out figure for the Shakers last season, making thirty-five appearances and scoring 8 goals.

His performances alerted many leading clubs and he finally moved to the Riverside Stadium during this past summer, on a three-year deal.

He has already played for Boro in both the EFL Cup and EFL Trophy, while also impressing for their under-23 team, rattling in 11 goals to date in fourteen games.
