Harrogate Trio Sign On To The Delight Of Manager Weaver

Title-chasing Harrogate Town have been handed a triple contract boost as three key players agree new deals.

Liam Agnew, Kelvin Langmead and Lloyd Kerry will stay at the National League North Promotion Final winners after agreeing extensions.

The trio have made a combined 36 appearances since the club won promotion and have been described as “crucial” to Town’s impressive start to life in the National League.

Kerry will take his commitment to the club to over five years and the long-server said: “We have made massive strides in the last few seasons since going full time and the club has gone from strength to strength.

“When I first signed there were probably four or five hundred fans here and now we are averaging 1,700, so on and off the field we are improving massively.

“Everyone has the same goal, we want to win football matches and want to be successful and its great to be a part of that.

“It’s a great club to be around, I get on well with the gaffer and all the management staff and we’ve got a great bunch of lads here so it was a no brainer to extend my contract.”

Simon Weaver added: ““He has been very consistent for this club and we know what we are going to get with Lloyd, he is a very reliable character in the changing room and a very good performer for us.

“Aggers is a really good pro and there are fantastic elements to his game that will only get better.” Weaver added.

“His performances have gone to another level recently, he played four on the bounce and we won four on the bounce and I felt he got better and better throughout that period.”
