Gateshead Youngster Heads Joins Neighbours On Loan

Young defender Jon Mellish has joined Ebac Northern League First Division club Newcastle Benfield on a month`s loan from neighbours Gateshead.
The 20-year-old left-back has made five appearances for the Heed`s first-team this season after making his debut against Bromley last term.
In recent weeks, Mellish has been playing for the Tynesiders` under-19 side in the Northern Alliance, scoring in their 6-0 victory over AFC Newbiggin last weekend.
