Gannon Believes More To Come From County After Play-Offs Secured

Stockport County boss Jim Gannon says his side can be proud of securing a top seven finish but know their game has to be looked upon with two matches of the season to go.

A 1-1 draw at Chorley, sees County back in a place-off situation in the first time in ten years, writes Tom Feaheny.

"It has been a long tough season, to get into the play-offs and have it confirmed is a great achievement," Gannon told Imagine FM.

"We had a debrief after this draw, I felt their was a raggedness, we need to now look at how we do in the play-offs rather than just us getting there."

Gannon says their final two matches can now be used to try and finish as high up the table as possible.

"We have to go to Blyth with a strong squad, it is going to be a tough game, then we face Darlington hopefully with something to gain in terms of our league position."
