Fylde Players Restore Challinor's Faith In Them

AFC Fylde made it up to their manager as they started their ‘mini season’ in fine fashion.

Dave Challinor gave his side a grilling after throwing away a lead to lose at ten-man Dover Athletic last time out.

The angry Coasters manager questioned his dressing room - and said he didn’t have enough leaders.

He was in a better mood after victory over Ebbsfleet, inflicting their first league defeat since October 13.

“We were fortunate to be in front in the first half, we didn’t win a single battle,” he told the club’s YouTube channel.

“We hung each other out to dry a little bit, we just weren’t getting the players we needed to in the game.

“But the reaction in the second half was fantastic. From minute one we created a lot of opportunities against a really good team.

“It’s a really pleasing start to the ‘mini season’ as I’m calling it. Now we’ve got to repeat this second half over the next week or so.”
