Flying Hawks Will Have 'No Regrets' In South Title Race

Havant & Waterlooville boss Lee Bradbury has told his players to make sure they have no regrets come the end of the season - even if they don’t win promotion.

The Hawks took advantage of their National League South title rivals slipping up on Saturday with a 3-1 win at struggling Poole Town - their tenth victory on the road this season.

Two late goals were the difference as Havant remained patient against a tough Poole side who played for 70 minutes with ten men.

Bradbury’s side are now just three points off leaders Dartford with three games in hand. But he insists they won’t be taking anything for granted and will continue to go into games with only victory on their minds.

“It took a bit of time but Poole are very dogged and hard-working and we thought the last ten or 15 minutes were going to be vital,” Bradbury told Hawks TV.

“It’s a big three points for us. We’ve just got to keep trying to win our games. Home or away, we’re going to try and win every game.

“If we don’t make it, if we don’t make the play-offs or get promoted, we can look back with no regrets. That’s something the players have really grasped.”
