Fletcher Flies Magpies' Nest But Striker Will Return

Chorley have announced this afternoon that Cameron Belford and Wes Fletcher have left Victory Park, writes Tom Scott.

Goalkeeper Belford started the first two games for the Magpies but has opted to leave the club in search of more regular first team football.

Speaking to the club’s website, manager Jamie Vermiglio had this to say: "Cameron has been an excellent professional. He's opted to find first team football. I respect his decision and wish him all the best for the future."

The club have also announced the temporary departure of striker Wes Fletcher with the 27-year-old joining Lancaster City to ‘regain match fitness’ until the end of next month.

The frontman has been in the matchday squad for most of Chorley’s opening games but will be hoping to get himself into Vermiglio’s plans whilst away.

Fletcher will likely be eager to return however after his manager said, “he will be big player for us once he returns.”
