Finishes All-Square At Poole

By Steve Whitney

Two teams in the bottom five of the Vanarama National League South table, Poole Town and Concord Rangers, battled out a 1-1 draw on Halloween night at Tatham.

Poole, who started the evening two places and two points better off than the Beachboys, had the upper hand in the opening 45 minutes but were unable to penetrate the visitors` defence.

The second half though was only 10 minutes old when it was Concord who broke the deadlock when Ben Greenhalgh`s (pictured) free-kick from 25 yards took an awkward bounce in front of the Dolphins `keeper Nick Hutchings and bounced in.

But the hosts were back on level terms just 5 minutes later when a free-kick was only half cleared and Will Spetch smashed home the loose ball at the far post.
