Winger Cook Becomes A Loan Card

By Steve Whitney

Woking have announced the signing of Anthony Cook on loan from league rivals Ebbsfleet United until the end of the season.

Cook, 28, is a winger who played against the Cards earlier in the season for Ebbsfleet, playing against his younger brother Regan Charles-Cook.

He started his career at Cardiff City, having previously been on the Sky1 reality show Football Icon where he finished in fourth place.

He joined Dagenham & Redbridge in 2007, making his Football League debut in December that year.

In 2009 he joined Chelmsford City in the Conference (National League) South, moving to Ebbsfleet in 2013 where he spent eighteen months before joining Bromley in January 2015, winning the Conference South that season.

Cook re-joined Ebbsfleet in December 2015 and was part of their successful play-off winning side last season.

Cook told the club`s official website on joining the Cards: "Regan's had great things to say about the club, about the manager, about the boys, how everything is done properly, the training, and when I heard Woking were interested, there were other clubs interested, but for me this was a no-brainer to come on loan for the rest of the season".
