Weaver Only Focused on Town In The Title Run-In

Harrogate Town boss Simon Weaver says he is only looking at his side does as they closed the gap on top spot to two points.

Victory at Leamington coupled with Salford City losing at York City, meant the gap which was 11 points three weeks ago is now down to just two, writes Tom Feaheny.

"The attitude by the group has been impressive, we have come out fighting," Weaver told HTTV.

"The gap is now two points, we want to be in the hunt right until the end, we know there are good teams around us, we are up there with a lot of teams, I think it will go down to the last weeks."

Town boosted their promotion bid with the signing of John McCombe on a free transfer, Weaver could see what he brought in their recent win.

"He has experience and leadership qualities and in this run in, we need that, he won second balls against Leamington as well."

Weaver was also pleased to see Mark Beck and Dom Knowles on the scoresheet knowing the depth of his attacking options is important.

"Our two strikers who started both scored, that is what they are there to do, it was good to see the impact they both made."
