Watson Welcomed To Hungerford As Herring Gets Help

Hungerford Town have strengthened their backroom team.

Players manager Ian Herring has a new assistant manager as the club look to improve on last season, where they only escaped relegation from the National League South on the final day.

The Crusaders have announced Kevin Watson will be helping out with first team affairs.

The former Reading and Rotherham midfielder’s experience will help improve fortunes after they struggled towards the end of last season.

Watson was manager of Bishop’s Stortford last season and has also worked at Eastleigh under Ronnie Moore.

Herring has made a move in the transfer market as he bolsters his squad.

Midfielder Sam Deadfield joins from Basingstoke Town and the manager is keen to bring in more new players over the next few weeks.
