Watson Admits Frustration At Draw

By Tom Feaheny

Gateshead boss Steve Watson said he wanted more despite his 10 man side gaining an away point.

A 1-1 draw against the now bottom of the table side, had started with the Heed taking the lead from the spot, they had Russ Penn sent off then conceded in the second half, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I'm really disappointed, we started the game well, created a lot, we were positive, played with two strikers and just couldn't get the win," Watson told the club's website.

"Russ (Penn) has apologised for his red card, with 10 men it was difficult against a team fighting for their lives, our game plan went out the window after the sending off.

"I wouldn't have taken a draw before the game or at half-time, there are positives, the lads worked their socks off for me."
