Stones' To Honour Legends With Big QPR Fundraiser

There's a pretty big date set in Wealdstone's calendar this pre-season as they look to honour two club legends.

Like most others, the Stones and new gaffer Dean Brennan will have one eye firmly on next week's Wednesday July 3 fixture release.

But 11 days later, the club plan to honour legends Gordon Bartlett and Leo Morris with a charity match against a QPR Legends team, managed by ex-Hoop, Marc Bircham.

During his 22-year reign at the club, Bartlett was pivotal to their resurgence - the 2013/14 Isthmian Premier League his last honour before leaving three years later.

In fact, a number of Wealdstone's squad from that season will be turning out at Grosvenor Vale on the day.

The event will also raise funds for WFC Foundation Trust and QPR Trust.
