Saunders Looks Forward To Hosting League Leaders

Jay Saunders says his side have to build on their performances ahead of hosting Macclesfield Town tonight.

It has been a difficult start to 2018 for the side as they are yet to win, a run which is now at 17 league matches, writes Tom Feaheny.

Tonight they take on the side who sit top of the Vanarama National League.

"We’ve been in games, we’ve not been out of them, we have just conceded silly goals, if that stops we have a chance," Saunders told the club's website.

"We just need to get going again, this run has to stop at some points, we know that."

Last time they were defeated by another team going for promotion, Saunders believes they can take a lot from their performance against Tranmere Rovers for the game later.

"The lapses in concentration cost us, I didn't think we were too far off it, we just need to refocus on where we are right now."
