By Tom Feaheny

With FA Cup action taking place there are still a number of sides playing in the Vanarama National League North and South, we look ahead to the action.

There are four games taking place in both leagues, with matters in the play-off places and battling to leave the relegation zone, writes Tom Feaheny.

In the Vanarama National League North Leamington are on a four game unbeaten run in the league and picked up an impressive 3-2 victory away at Salford City last time around, they take on York City with new manager Martin Gray looking to make it back to back wins, goalkeeper Bailey Peacock-Farrell could be handed a debut after joining from Leeds United on loan.

Nuneaton Town manager Tommy Wright said sorry after his side were defeated last weekend 6-3 away from home, this was following their FA Cup exit, so a win would be a timely boost, they face Darlington who are closing in on choosing their next manager a win could see them move into the play-off places.

It has been a fine start to the season for Spennymoor Town who currently sit fourth in the table and have three wins in a row including a lat minute victory at Southport, read the thoughts of striker Glen Taylor, Curzon Ashton have impressed in recent weeks with their only loss in the last five games being against the top of the table Harrogate Town.

Third placed Blyth Spartans could go to within five points of top spot if they can gain victory against a Stockport County side who last week gained a late point.

In the Vanarama National League South just a place separates Chippenham Town who can overtake with a win at home against Wealdstone, for the Stones they know three points would take them just outside the play-off places, they are currently on an unbeaten run in the league that is at four games.

Just a point is the difference between Eastbourne Borough and Hemel Hempstead Town, the visitors for this game had won three in a row before picking up a point in their last two matches while Borough have gained four points from their last four matches, both know they will need to be more consistent to get a play-off place by the end of the season.

Weston-Super-Mare are unbeaten in their last five games league games but have drawn three of them they know a few good results could see them near the play-off places while a few loses would move them closer to the drop zone, they face Welling United who will be in the top seven places with a victory, they have won their last four games.

And Whitehawk have made plenty of changes in the last few weeks as they look for their first win of the season in the league, they are on three points so far, their opponents Hungerford Town have gone four games without a win.
