Russell Takes The Reins As Hereford Call For Slade

Former Cardiff City and Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade has been announced as the new manager of Hereford.

The National League North club’s search for a replacement for Marc Richards is now over.

The parted company with their head coach following an early season defeat to King’s Lynn Town.

But the Bulls have made a very high profile appointment as the former Brighton, Yeovil and Grimsby boss arrives at Edgar Street.

He takes charge for the first time this week against Boston United. The club have 11 points from their first seven matches and sit just outside the play-off places.

The club announced: “Hereford FC is delighted to announce that Russell Slade has been appointed as the club’s new First Team Manager.

“Russell arrives at Edgar Street with a wealth of management and coaching experience under his belt.

“Having agreed a deal to take charge at Edgar Street, Russell has been introduced to the Bulls’ playing squad at tonight’s training session, as the players continue their preparations for Saturday’s home game against Boston United.”
