No Win Not A Worry For Orient With Ups And Downs Expected

Justin Edinburgh isn’t concerned by Leyton Orient’s failure to pull clear of their stuttering title rivals.

The recent theme of the National League’s championship chasers dropping points continued at the weekend.

Orient couldn’t make the most of Jobi McAnuff putting them in front at Hartlepool United - and things could have been worse but for Dean Brill’s penalty save.

But Edinburgh wasn’t downbeat coming home with only a point as the East London side held onto the leadership.

He said: “The National League is really tight this season. It’s a tough division and you are starting to see that with the results.

“It’s very rare all the teams at the top of the table win so we’ll keep going and we’ll keep believing.

“Hartlepool is a difficult place to come, the fans get right behind them and the conditions made it a challenge.

“But I really think it’s a point gained for us. Of course we’re disappointed we couldn’t see it out,” he added.

“But that’s the league and the moment. It’s scrappy, difficult to call and every team has a chance - it doesn’t matter where they are in the table.

“A point away from home is always valuable so we’re not disappointed by our weekend.”
