Mellon: Rovers Are Relishing Big Games In Promotion Bid

Tranmere Rovers boss Micky Mellon says their win against Aldershot Town was a joy to watch, as they next face Dover Athletic.

Rovers are looking to keep their momentum going ahead of the ee-arranged game away tomorrow, writes Tom Feaheny.

Victory on Satutday helped keep their good form going for the side ahead of the remaining league games of the season.

"The standard of this game was very good, really high standard from both sets of players, I have to credit both sets," Mellon told the club's website.

"We have good strikers who work hard for the team, with the fitness levels and the desire, all over the group I was pleased.

"I'm enjoying it, it is great to be involved at this time of the season, the games are big, it is great being here, full of energy and loving it."

Mellon says that the stature of the club means that expectation levels are up there for a reason.

"The demands on Tranmere Rovers don't change, it is always high and rightly so, we go again on Tuesday with the same aim.
