Harrison Happy With Pools Point At In-Form Woking

Craig Harrison had no complaints over coming away from Woking with a point on Saturday.

The Hartlepool boss saw his side draw 1-1 at the in-form Cards - watch match highlights here.

Ryan Donaldson headed the visitors in front but Jami Philpott equalised before half-time. The hosts could have snatched the points in injury time but Inih Effiong's strike crashed off the crossbar.

Woking had won five of their previous six home games, enough to convince Harrison that it was a point gained.

"You look at Woking and they have one of the best home records in the league," he said. "They were coming off the back of three straight victories and were one point off the top.

"I'm never satisfied with one point but in the circumstance I am. they had a large share of possession, probably 60-40, but we had three or four good, clear cut opportunities.

"Scott Loach has made some good saves for us and they've rattled the crossbar with 30 seconds left but last week we did almost the same to Eastleigh and lost. That's how football is, you don't always get what you deserve.

"Through endeavour alone, the lads deserved everything they got."
