Coyle: We Have To Build On Benchmark Performances

Welling United boss Jamie Coyle says his side have delivered benchmark performances in recent weeks as they look to continue their climb towards the play-off places.

The good run for the side continued with five wins out of six for the team who are now just two points off the play-off places, writes Tom Feaheny.

While they didn't play at the weekend, they are scheduled to next face Wealdstone away from home tonight.

"I thought we deserved to win the games in recent weeks, we have put in a performance I am very pleased with," Coyle told WingsTV.

"We have to learn a lesson from these game, we have a quality group and that determination was on show and that has led to us winning and going on these runs.

"These performances are what I want to see all the time if we do that more often then not we will win."

Coyle says his side are showing they can handle the pressure as they aim to get into the top seven places.

"We are knocking on that door, we are doing what we need to do, putting in the performances, getting the results and our confidence is sky-high at the minute."
