Bignot: I Got The Reaction I Wanted From Chester Side

By Tom Feaheny

Chester boss Marcus Bignot says the fight and resolve his players showed after they went behind against Gateshead meant they deserved the point they gained.

After falling behind with an hour gone, they claimed a point with Harry White grabbing an equaliser with just over ten minutes to go, writes Tom Feaheny.

The result means Chester are now four points off safety as they closed the gap on 20th.

"I got the reaction I wanted to come back from a goal down and stay in the game," Bignot told the club's website.

"I was really pleased with what I saw after we went behind, we could have won it, we created chances, this kind of fight is what we need.

"We have to keep that performance level going, we need to get the win on Saturday, that would mean we've picked up a decent return for January."
