Evatt On The Up As Barrow Boss Claims December Award

The ups and downs of life as a football manager can probably be summed up by Ian Evatt’s end to 2018.

Back in November the Bluebirds boss was telling fans he had total faith in his players to turn around the sticky situation they found themselves in.

Then late last month, the Blackpool legend decides to tell the same supporters that he couldn’t be prised away from Holker Street, so impressed were rival clubs with the job he was doing.

It started with a 2-0 win at Braintree Town and was followed up by three points at home to Maidenhead United.

They then went and did something that very few managed last year - claim victory at Solihull Moors.

They ended the month doing something which even fewer have achieved, seeing off Salford City.

That five-goal thrilling live BT Sport game, which Barrow pinched in the final few seconds 3-2, was a fitting way to say goodbye to 2018.
