Young Shayman Extends His Loan Spell

FC Halifax Town have announced that youngster Marko Basic has had his loan spell with Evo-Stik League North side Mossley AFC extended for a further month.

Basic signed a one-year deal in the summer after impressing in the Shaymen`s under-19 side.

He helped Town’s youth team win the National League Under-19 Alliance and reach the second round of the FA Youth Cup last season.

Basic, 18, whose family has roots in Serbia, is an attacking midfielder who grew up in Bradford and played in Sunday League from the age of 6 to 16 before going on trial at Bradford City.

After that he had another trial at FC Halifax and was accepted onto their youth development programme.
