Wright Hopes Darlo Start Getting Their Just Rewards

Darlington boss Tommy Wright hopes his side start getting the points their performances deserve.

The Quakers have dropped into the National League North’s bottom three after one win in ten matches.

They were narrowly beaten by high-flying Salford City and York City before a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Alfreton Town.

Darlo face another tough game on Saturday when they welcome play-off chasing Chorley and Wright is hoping to see a clean sheet.

“I think the lads have put in some good performances recently, but haven’t had the results to show for them,” Wright told the club’s website.

“We’ve played York, Salford and Alfreton, and we should have picked up more than just the one point.

“But we are encouraged by our displays and we have got plenty to build on. We must though, be tighter at the back, and aim to keep a clean sheet.”
