What Happened In The National League On Tuesday Night?

By Tom Scott

The latest set of results from the National League hasn't half shook things up.

We've got new leaders in the form of Solihull Moors who put on a hell of a show at Chorley.

Nathan Blissett bagged a superb hat-trick, added to with Paul McCallum's brace before Danny Wright's late strike put the gloss on a fine night at Victory Park.

The Moors leapfrogged Halifax into pole position after the Shaymen went down to a Mark Harris goal at Wrexham.

An absolute humdinger at Edgeley Park resulted in a first win for Stockport County.

The hosts led through Frank Mulhern and Jordan Keane before John Rooney plundered Barrow level.

But Adam Thomas had the final say to leave Jim Gannon's side undefeated in three.

Notts County got their first maximum since dropping into the division.

Kristian Dennis was the beneficiary after Harrogate's Will Smith conceded a penalty on the stroke of half-time - seeing red in the process. Enzio Boldewijn put the seal on it two minutes from time.

It's Ebbsfleet who are the early basement boys after slipping to a fourth-straight defeat.

Aswad Thomas' late strike was in vain as Yeovil notched their first win on the road.

Bromley edged past Aldershot courtesy of Jack Holland's goal on the half-hour mark while Dover left it late, very late to snatch all three points from Barnet thanks to Inih Effiong's goal in the dying embers.

Hartlepool must have thought they were home and dry when Gime Toure put them 2-0 up early in the second-half.

But a late Ryan Croasdale-inspired fightback from AFC Fylde ensured the points were shared.

Eastleigh and Sutton also shared the spoils at the Silverlake - Rob Atkinson's 12th minute opener cancelled out two minutes later by Jamie Collins.

Maidenhead continued their decent start with a fine away win at Torquay United. Josh Kelly sparked the Magpies into life and Shamir Fenlon added the finishing touches late on.

Elsewhere, Chesterfield are still looking for their first win of the season as Woking celebrated another win on the road.

Kabongo Tshimanga netted his third and fourth goals of the season as Boreham Wood ran out convincing winners at Dagenham & Redbridge.
