Welling Bring In Dagenham`s Former Boro Striker On Loan

Striker Elliott Romain has joined Welling United on a month`s loan from National League side Dagenham & Redbridge.

Romain joined the Daggers from National League side South Eastbourne Borough in March 2017 for an undisclosed fee, having spent two seasons with The Sports.

A quick and direct front man with the ability to be in the right place at the right time, Romain played youth football at both Brighton & Hove Albion and Millwall but broke into senior football with Three Bridges where he was their main goal threat for four seasons.

He finished the 2013/14 season with 16 goals for the Crawley-based club and joined then-Ryman League Premier Division side Lewes in July 2014.

He also spent time on loan with Southern Combination League side Horsham YMCA during the 2014/15 season.

He has made eight first-team appearances for the Daggers this season, scoring one goal.
