Waddock's Shots Continue The Search For Home Comforts

Gary Waddock knows his Aldershot Town team need to improve their home points return - and they have a great chance to start on Tuesday.

The Shots’ title hopes were dealt a blow on Saturday when they lost 2-1 at home to leaders Macclesfield Town.

Will Evans’ fifth-minute red card made things difficult for the hosts and the result saw them fall four points behind the Silkmen.

They’re back in action at the EBB Stadium tonight and face another tough game as play-off chasing Bromley roll into town.

Waddock, whose side have won one of their last five home fixtures, told Shots TV: “We didn’t get the points we were looking for on Saturday so it’s good to go into another home game in midweek.

“We need to get our home form, in terms of points, right and we have an opportunity on Tuesday. We need to address our home points return, that’s for sure.

“There are still a lot more points to play for and we’re in a very, very good position so there are no great, big dramas.

“Bromley have good players within their group and they’ve done really well this season. We have to make sure we stand up to their attacking players and stamp our authority on the game.”
