Spennymoor Bolsters Off-Field Team

Spennymoor Town has recruited the services of a Communications and Content Adviser as the club prepares to expand and develop its media output for the 2017/18 season.

Jack Franks, 23, will be attending all home and away games during the Moors inaugural campaign in the National League North.

With a host of improvements and dedicated media channels set to launch for the start of the season in early August, the club will be providing fans with more quality content than ever and a greater level of engagement on a daily basis.

Spennymoor's match day experience is set to be revamped with a devoted Twitter service providing in-game updates both home and away, interviews and behind the scenes material.

The Moors YouTube channel is also set to undergo a re-brand. MOORSTV will replace the current set-up and will be a platform for player and staff interviews, fun features and unseen footage, as well as the highlights packages the channel currently offers.

The new media strategy has the target of replicating Spennymoor's recent success on the pitch, with the goal set at reaching the next level of coverage and content.

Franks is a Teesside University Journalism graduate and secured a First-Class Degree in BA Hons Journalism in June. Having lived in the North-East all of his life, he has an in-depth knowledge of local football and experience reporting on live games and running social media accounts.

Franks spoke of his excitement ahead of the new season: "It's a privilege to be working for a club which has been so successful over the last few years.

"Being able to travel with the team home and away and bring the fans closer to the action via the media is a challenge I am relishing.

"I'm also very excited to be working on the new and improved website which will go live in a few weeks. It's just one of many steps the club is taking to improve the quality of content for supporters.

"Hopefully I will become a familiar face for Moors fans over the course of the season and beyond!"
