So Who Are The National League's Top Scorers?

By Sam Elliott

Goals win games and sometimes win leagues - and they also win Golden Boots!

The Vanarama National League scoring charts has been as competitive as the division itself so it’s time to check in with the top scorers again.

Remember, FA Trophy and FA Cup goals don’t count - it’s just the National League net-busters that count in this tally.

Just one goal separates the top two with AFC Fylde’s Danny Rowe and Leyton Orient striker Macauley Bonne slogging it out.

But will we see a striker come from nowhere to win it? Wrexham forward Chris Holroyd and Andy Cook, of Tranmere Rovers, are in fine form.

The January transfer window has seen two of the contenders leave the league with Oladapo Afolayan of Solihull Moors moving to West Ham and fellow 11-goal man Joe Pigott signing for AFC Wimbledon.

Who will take the title as the top marksman? All will become clearer in the next few months
