Morley Salutes Another Late Showing From Salford City

While previously they have won thanks to late strikes, this one started thanks to Max Crocombe saving a penalty as the game reached the end at 1-1 then in added time Jack Redshaw was in the right place to win it 2-1 for them, writes Tom Feaheny.

"The game looked gone, they have a penalty, we save it, we were brave and then you question the players desire can they do it and that goal shows the never say die attitude we have," Morley told the club's website.

"We have had a lot of chances and not taken them but we have found a way to win, that is so important to win 2-1 in those conditions, the scene at the end was great."

Salford City are now back at the top of the Vanarama National League North table, three points clear of Harrogate Town, although they now have played a game more, but Morley made it clear what their aim is for the remaining games.

"That is the goal to stay there, we have thrown it away twice, now we won't for a third time, there is no room for error now."

They next face another side going for promotion in Blyth Spartans and Morley says they can't wait for that match to start.

"The lads are chomping at the bit to play and face these tough sides, it is all about the three points and that is our aim for each game."
