Mellon Targeting "Huge" Result In Hectic Title Race

Tranmere Rovers boss Micky Mellon says a positive result against Bromley this weekend would be “huge” for the club’s promotion hopes.

Rovers will be looking to make it nine consecutive National League victories at Prenton Park but Bromley, on the verge of the play-offs, will be a tough nut to crack.

With the top four all facing each other, Mellon knows that three points on Saturday could push them up to second in the table.

Rovers will be hoping to take advantage of any slip-ups from their rivals and Mellon told the club’s website: “We have a massive game on Saturday and all our focus is on that.

“It will be good to be back at Prenton Park again. We are working hard to make sure we are as best prepared for the game as we can possibly be.

“Every game from here on in is going to be important and with teams playing each other at the top, if you get a positive result then it will be huge.

“There are a lot of teams involved at the top end but we are just focused on the doing the business ourselves.”
