Jansen Says Comeback Shows Team Spirit

Chorley boss Matt Jansen praised the fighting attitude of his side after they gained a point against Nuneaton Town after being 2-0 down.

After conceding the second goal just as the second-half had started, Josh O'Keefe and Matt Hughes got on the scoresheet to ensure Chorley maintained their impressive home record, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I'm proud of the team, we bounced back in a way from the FA Cup disappointment, we went two goals down, the second-half performance was as good as it has been," Jansen told the club's website.

"We did everything but score the winner, we played well in the first-half as well, to concede straight after the kick-off in the second-half could have really affected us, but we showed such a character and team spirit, we didn't fold.

"We have made our home ground a fortress, the fans got behind us, we maybe didn't get what we deserved but we take that and show up in the next game aiming to get back into the play-off places."
