Hawks Pick Up Vastly Experienced Defender

Whitehawk have snapped up experienced defender Scott Doe, whose contract with National league side Dagenham & Redbridge was terminated by mutual consent earlier this week.

Doe started his career with AFC Newbury, where he was a team-mate of Everton`s Theo Walcott, and then Swindon Town, who he joined in 2005.

After being released by the Robins, he joined then-Conference National side Weymouth in 2007 and went on to make sixty-three appearances for the Terras.

His first spell with the Daggers started in February 2009 and went on to play 243 times, netting 11 goals.

He moved to Boreham Wood in July 2015 and then re-joined Dagenham following their relegation from the Football League.

The 29-year old was a regular for the Daggers, going on to make 327 appearances in his two spells, including the 2010 Promotion Final at Wembley, and finding the net 15 times for the club.

He made his 300th Daggers appearance in the game at home to York City in March 2017.

The defender has been in and out of the side this season though due to personal reasons.
