Havant Finally End Their Home Hoodoo!

Havant & Waterlooville boss Lee Bradbury says his side have finally put their home hoodoo behind them.

Despite having the best away record in the National League South, Havant had won just two of their nine home fixtures heading into last weekend.

The Hawks dominated Chippenham Town on Saturday, recording a 4-0 home victory thanks to goals from Ryan Woodford, Wes Fogden (2) and Theo Widdrington.

It was their first league victory on home soil in over three months and boss Bradbury is confident they can build on the impressive performance at Westleigh Park.

Bradbury, whose side sit fourth, told Hawks TV: “We performed really well and the only difference to recent games is that we stuck the ball in the net at one end and kept it out at the other.

“We’ve had some really good performances at home but picked up draws and losses. On Saturday, the difference was in both boxes.

“We were relentless. We did feel that somebody was going to come here at some point and get a thumping because we’ve been doing everything right up until the final third.

“It was a very good home performance, we can get the home hoodoo completely out of our minds and crack on.”
