Greaves: Points On The Board Is What Matters

FC United player-manager Tom Greaves says his side weren't at their best but getting the win over Curzon Ashton is what he wanted.

A 2-0 victory with both sides ending with ten men a piece, saw the side move eight points clear of the drop zone, writes Tom Feaheny.

"I thought we were poor first-half, we kept our shape but we knew we needed to improve," Greaves told FCUM Radio.

"We have dug deep and I feel we got a little bit lucky if I am being honest. I thought we looked a little bit shy in terms of wanting the ball early on, I told the lads how good they were and we've got the points that's what mattered.

"I feel we have to control games a bit better, that first goal was crucial for us, we then took control for some of it and that was pleasing in a tough game."
